Creative public engagement with research
I work with researchers to develop a creative public engagement element to their research projects. This work involves me applying my extensive experience in the field of art practice to draw from the academic research carried out by researchers to develop art installations, performances, theatre productions and radio programmes. One of the core aims of this aspect of my creative work is to effectively communicate important issues and themes identified by the researchers within the research project. This creative work brings new audiences to research projects and complements traditional research dissemination activities.
I work with researchers during the development phase of writing a research proposal for a research funding bid to include my creative fees and early stage creative concept development. I also work with researchers at a later stage of the research project when they are ready to disseminate findings. Recent work includes my writing creative public engagement with research ideas into successful funding bids to the Economic Research and Social Council UK and the Wellcome Trust UK.

CONSULTANCY
Collaborative projects
I provide an arts consultancy service to professional artists, researchers, arts workers, arts officers, community organisations in writing and obtaining funding for ambitious multi- stakeholder engagement projects, as well as for smaller collaborative projects. Recent work is the three year socially engaged art programme I designed for the successful Kildare County Council Arts Office bid for the Arts Council Creative Places bid for the town of Athy. CONSULTANCY
Mentorship
I provide mentorship support to artists, artworkers and community workers on small to larger projects. Artists and others often get in touch with me at the development stage of ideas, and when planning funding applications to discuss creative possibilities and to include my fee in the funding application.
